To-Do Tuesday and Happy Mail

This gorgeousness came in the mail yesterday! I was the lucky winner of the giveaway by Diann at Little Penguin Quilts. There are 20 jelly roll strips and several 8-1/4 inch blocks. These colors are so pretty together and with gold threads throughout - the sparkle makes me happy! I'm going to think about what I can make with this bounty, but have a feeling it will be something just for me - lol!

Today is the day we review our goals from last Tuesday, make plans for the coming week, and post about it at Chris KnitsLet's see how things went last week:

1. Sandwich and quilt rose garden quilt - no progress, but I'm not discouraged!

✔2. Plant Sunshine Ligustrum plants; choose and plant tomato plants and landscape plants - DONE - we found a wonderful nursery and purchased the bushes and tomato plants. We decided to wait to plant the bushes after new windows are installed, and the tomato plants will enjoy the sun on our patio for a few days.

And here are my goals for the coming week:

3. Cut background pieces and start on HSTs for Homespun QAL

4. Plant tomato plants

  1. All things are lovely! The Homespun fabrics are gorgeous.

  2. Good luck on planting your tomatoes! We’re not ready yet. It’s snowing today!
Congratulations on the win from Little Penguin Quilts. Can’t go wrong with purples and greens! Anxious to see what you do with them!

  3. Ooh that IS some happy mail! I like the QAL fabrics--will be watching for that one go together :o)

  4. Your photo really shows how pretty that fabric is - so glad you like it, Linda! I wish I could tell what line of fabric it is. Since it is a jelly roll, there was only ever a tiny bit of selvage, and it showed it's by Benartex. Have fun with that pretty fabric pull for the Homespun QAL,

  5. I love the windmill block and looking forward to seeing what you make with homespuns. I've got a few and never know what to do with them. Oh, and thanks for the reminder about the tomato starts. I have some in the window and need to go water them!

  6. Have fun with those pretty fabrics! Can't wait to see what you are creating. You've done well this week, and next week's list is definitely doable.

  7. Gold sparkly threads?! I’m swooning here!

  8. What a nice win! Hubs and I were just talking about what to put in the veggie garden this year. Too soon for us to be planting just yet.

  9. Fun fabric win from Diann!! That Homespun fabric is so cute!!!

  10. Congrats! it was a happy mail for sure, Linda. Have fun!!

  12. Congrats on the win from Diann's blog, those are really pretty fabrics. Congrats on all the progress on last week's list. You've got some very fun projects in the works. Good luck with this week's to dos.
