To Do Tuesday 6-28-22

Good Tuesday morning and welcome to To Do Tuesday on this last Tuesday in June! If To Do Tuesday is an unfamiliar term to you, just click on the relaxed couple above and find out all you need to know, then add your post to the link below.

Here's a sneak peek at one of the table runners! More to come in a post on Wednesday.

I've been sewing in between interruptions this week - sound familiar? We are planning a kind of pergola/gazebo for our back yard and that involves attention somewhere other than my sewing room.  So did I meet my goals last week? Let's see:
✅1. Purchase backing for The Wedding Quilt - Done - I purchased four of the 4-5/8 yards needed but have not picked it up from my LQS.
❌2. Start cutting on Ruby Star Society Sewalong quilt (see my sidebar for more info) and do a post. - My fabric arrived but I have not started cutting yet.
✔3. Continue sewing on gingham table runners and do a post - Partially done. One runner is finished and the other is a flimsy. I plan to have a post up by Wednesday.
✅4. Keep playing with Accuquilt Go! - I already want more pieces for my cutter and have been adding and subtracting to my Cart all week!

My "playlist" (thank you Soma!) for next time:
1. Sandwich wedding quilt
2. Cut fabric for RSS Sewalong
3. Finish second table runner and do a post.
4. Start catching up with Pieces in the Garden sewalong blocks

What are your plans for the week? Did you meet your goals from last week, or did you get sidetracked by a squirrel? Let us know by clicking the link below, and don't forget to come back later in the week to visit a few blogs! The linkup is open on Tuesdays at 12:01AM and closes on Mondays at 11:59PM.

  1. From what I can see that table runner looks great and perfect for the spot. It's a win too to have the backing organised for the Wedding quilt. Aha the new toy wants more playmates!!

  2. I got a little sidetracked today, but it's more of side quest of one of the main list items, so I am counting that as playing and experimenting. You got so much done! Beautiful colours on your runner! It looks great there. I look forward to seeing more.

  3. Love the peek at your gingham tablerunner, Linda, and can't wait to hear more about it! It looks perfect for that table! I know what you mean about having your attention in other places besides the sewing room - we've been meeting with roofers this week. Important, but not fun. Good luck with your list this week!

  5. Love to read your To Do lists, Linda. You sound so organized. Meanwhile I've been stitching in between too, what with Robbie here for sleepovers...end of school reward, and looking after Petey and doctor appointments for Tony...I've been on the go! Not in the sewing room

  7. Hi Linda. I’m at the studio and will likely get some quality time with my longarm and my Accuquilt cutter and dies. They are fun. Good luck with your playlist.

  8. That looks like a great spot for your table runner. If you have an accuquilt cutter you got to get those dies! Enjoy!

  9. Hi Linda! I reckon that table runner that has a post due on Wednesday is going to trigger a squirrel project for me. I can just see it coming, like a freight train but I can't get out of the way. Your runner fits that table perfectly. What are those bottles with shot glasses hanging below them?!?! That looks like my kind of table - just saying. I'm pretty darn certain I recognize that white bottle - can you say rum?! Good luck with your play list and thank you for the linky party. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  10. Hi,
Beautiful Table Runner, it looks great on your table. I have 12
quilts that need sandwiched...not my favorite part of quilting...I'm
planning on doing a couple this week. Have a great day!
