To Do Tuesday 7-12-22

Good morning and welcome to To Do Tuesday! I hope you will add your post to the linkup below and share with others all your creations - quilts, crafts, photos, books, gardening, travel, cooking or whatever makes you happy!

This past week I spent taking it easy after cataract surgery on my left eye last Wednesday. My eyesight has improved dramatically. Thank you for all your well wishes and encouragement. You were right - it was easy and pain-free. There is bruising beneath my eye (my husband called it a shiner - lol!) from injections for stent placement, so I look worse than I feel! Surgery on the right eye is next week. Now that I know what to expect, I'll be much more relaxed.

Indiana Puzzle - Moda Block Head QAL block 16

I've been in the sewing room but only got a small amount of sewing accomplished because of fatigue, but. I did make a fun block yesterday (above) and plan to post about it later this week.

Here is my playlist for next week:
1. Sew backing for The Wedding Quilt
2. Finish sewing rows together for RSS (Ruby Star Society) quilt
3. Post about Moda Block Head block 16

Now it's your turn - show us your playlists! I have coined playlist instead of goals after reading about Soma's playlists at Ink Torrents. Her blog is truly a joy to read with all the creative joy she exudes. All of you are kind and creative and funny and you inspire me so much every week! And you can call your list any name you choose. 😊

  8. Good morning, Linda! I've been thinking about you and your eye surgery. I am SO glad to read your update and that the surgery was successful. Just imagine how it will be after your right eye is fixed as well! That Indiana Puzzle block is so pretty. I often wonder how the blocks are named - why Indiana?! Thank you so much for the linky party today. I am going to visit some and hope to not find any squirrel projects. HAHA! {{Hugs}} a bunch ~smile~ Roseanne

  9. glad all went well with your cataract surgery and you will be ready for the second one - I'm not sure what procedure you had that gave the area a bruise though - I hope it won't last long - love the block - I heard there might be rolling blackouts in Texas due to the heat I hope it won't be in your area! Very hot here too

  13. I'm pretty sure you could come up with a great story to go with that shiner: Something about a fabric sale and "you should see the OTHER quilter!" etc. Glad it all went well!

  14. Hi Linda,
I love your Indiana Puzzle block...it could have something to do with the fact I live in Indiana...lol. The little yellow center really sets the block up. Have a great day!

  15. Glad to hear you cataracts surgery went well. I'm probably going in sometime this summer to get my eyes done. I'm impressed you got a block done! And, it is cute as all get out.

  16. So glad your surgery went well and isn’t it amazing how things look when you just look with the eye that is done! The fatigue is a result of the difference in the sight in your eyes, or at least that’s what I experienced. Enjoy the colours and have a great week. 😉

  17. Yea! I’m glad your surgery went well! It is indeed surprising how easy it can be and how much our vision improves! That is one lovely block! Your use of colors certainly highlights the movement and geometry of the block! Love that pop of yellow!
Happy sewing and praying for next week’s surgery!

  18. Playlist, I like it. I just had my 3 yr old grandson help me tear some the roll of fabric into strips. He enjoyed helping.

    1. That's a great idea Marsha! I will see about doing that when our Littles come next time. The 3 yo is always looking for something to do, and that would satisfy his need to rip and tear - lol!
