To Do Tuesday 7-5-22

Welcome to To Do Tuesday! We are officially mid-way through 2022, and time to start thinking about Christmas. There are many who start "Christmas in July" projects, and this year it sounds pretty good to me. If you are experiencing the kind of heat that we are, you know what I mean!

By this time tomorrow, I will be having my cataract surgery.  I started three sets of eye drops yesterday, and they are the most expensive eye drops I've ever used - lol! I was shocked at first at the $240 tab, then I decided to start thinking of it as part of the surgery, so that made it easier to accept. I will have to have the same prescriptions in two weeks, but my eyes are worth it!

I've started sewing rows together for the Ruby Star Society Sewalong quilt!

Here's how I did last week with my goals:
❌1. Sandwich wedding quilt - Still debating how I will piece the backing
✅2. Cut fabric for RSS Sewalong - :Pieces cut, layout done, sewing commenced!
✅3. Finish second table runner and do a post.- Finished and posted here
❌4. Start catching up with Pieces in the Garden Sewalong blocks - No progress

No goals for this coming week other than to recover and see better so that I can comment on your posts!

I can't wait to see what you have going on this week - please add your post to the linky below, then go visit a few blogs and spread the blog-love. Be sure to check back later in the week for those who post after you. If you have any issues accessing Marsha's Spot, just copy the text below and paste it into your browser:

  3. I don't remember paying very much for the cataract surgery that I had about 8 years ago for eye drops and hubby had both of his done about 2 years ago and didn't have to pay very much for eye drops either - I'm surprised you did - insurance companies need to pay more for sure. Are they doing one eye this week and then other in a couple weeks that is how my husband's was done.

  4. Best of luck with your cataract surgery and a speedy recovery! I keep looking at you gingham table runners, but I really don’t want to start another new project. We’ll see how long I can resist!

  6. Hi Linda, wow I am loving that Ruby Star fabrics with the pretty dark blue pops there. This pattern reminds me of the plaid Tilda one. I'll think of you and hope that everything goes perfectly. That is a steep price for eye drops but your eyes are worth it as you concluded. Tony has had both eyes done; there is free prescription drugs here for over 65 so we fortunately, didn't have such expenses, except through our taxes, of course, :D

  14. Hi Linda. Wow! Those drops are expensive there! Mine cost $20 when I had mine done. But as far as I’m concerned they would be worth it at a thousand times the price. Just wait until the weekend when everything has adjusted. You will be so happy you had it done and just wait until you look at your pretty quilt with your new eyes! 😉

  15. I don't tend to do Christmas crafts, but I do Halloween ones, so I will think of it as "Halloween in July." Good luck with your cataract surgery. Keep us posted.

  16. I am hoping you are feeling better today than yesterday! Yes, we must take care of our eyes and you will be happy when this is all over with! We got the electrical bill on the 1st - $372.00. But we run about 12 tons between the house and the Studio. Cannot leave the unit off in the house as it would run all night to cool it down. it is 2PM on Thursday and it is 102!!! Going to get hotter later this afternoon. Hugs
