To Do Tuesday 9-20-22

It is Tuesday, and you know what time that is! Welcome to To Do Tuesday - please come on in and share your activities from last week and show us your playlists for the coming week. All are welcome! If you have doubts about it, just click on the couple above and go read what To Do Tuesday is all about.

In case you missed it, the winner of my giveaway for the Get On Board With Sewing blog hop was Judy of Busy Hands Are Happy Hands! The grand prize winner on Brenda's blog was "Lori S". Congratulations to the winners, and another big Thank You to Brenda and Melva at Melva Loves Scraps for such a successful and fun celebration of National Sewing Month.

Saying a final good-bye to Queen Elizabeth II
Last week was a so-so week in terms of finishing, but I enjoyed it anyway. The Queen's funeral and procession to Windsor yesterday was a major distraction.
✔1. RSS quilt - Quilting started but had to rip some out
❌2. Wedding quilt - Nothing
✔3. Crochet hat - Slow-going but good progress, white stripe has been added

Playlist for the coming week:
1. RSS quilt - I want to finish it so we can take it to our granddaughter on September 23
2. Wedding quilt
3. Crochet hat
4. Make myself a coin purse, style similar to this one I made in 2014.

Do you have a playlist for the coming week? Squirrel-wise it is very dangerous for me to visit your blogs, but I love seeing what you've been up to, so be sure to add your link below and then go visit the other blogs! Because of an Inlinkz conflict, you may have problems accessing Marsha's Spot blog. If so, just copy the URL below and paste it into your address bar:

  1. The funeral was during our night, I lasted until about half way through the service. I watched the rest on You Tube this morning. I should have ripped out some quilting but I decided my quilt wasn't important enough to do so. All the best with your list for this week.

  4. It will be very cool have the RSS quilt finished and given to your granddaughter, won't ?
Looking forward to see that beautiful quilt finished! Have a nice week, Linda!

  5. Congrats to the winner! (I still haven't pulled the trigger on that knitting bag btw. I have all of my needles etc displayed on top of my fabric hutch. Very pretty to look at but not handy. While I'm trying to decide, I just put it on my Christmas list!). Good luck on your to-do's, er, playlist!

  6. I've mostly watched short excerpts and looked at still photos of the funeral while we've been away from home - amazing pageantry! I think the queen will be missed. Good luck finishing up your granddaughter's quilt! And what a cute little coin purse, too - hope you get to work on it.

  7. I watched some of the Queen's coverage yesterday too first thing in the morning and then watched some of the clips on the computer - I find it so odd how so many of us in the states are so interested in the monarchy even though she was not our queen

  8. Good luck with your week! I have to finish up some stitch removal on a quilt too, so we will join in that activity together. Tension was really lousy, and could't let it go. It was a dense row too...but its pretty fast once I get into it - but I only do a quarter at a time.

  9. I totally forgot about the funeral yesterday. I did watch the news and got a feel for it. But I am closing in on finishing a piece that must be done tomorrow. So I was focused. This week's goals are very short.... mainly because of the challenge quilt needing to be finished.

    1. I'll have to go see who is doing a challenge quilt, because it came across as "Anonymous". :(

  10. Hi Linda! I watched a bit of the Royal funeral in snatches. I was shocked, and thought my eyes were deceiving me, when the casket was lowered into the floor. I had never seen that before! Ooh, good luck with the RSS quilt. I hope you get it all quilted for Friday! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  12. I know you'll be happy to have the RSS quilt finished up! I'm really not enamored with the royal family so I didn't watch any of it. Thanks for mentioning the hop. I think it went very well!

  13. Hi, I am late commenting on your wonderful post. Do hope you got your quilt ready in time for tomorrow.

  14. Better late then never right? My oldest daughter had a bone marrow biopsy to see if she was still able to get the transplant. Praise the Lord, they are telling her there are no signs of leukemia in the biopsy! Now they are going to do a lumbar puncture to check on the non-stop migraine now.

    1. Oh my gosh that is wonderful news Marsha!! I hope they are able to help her with the migraines, that is such a miserable state. Take care.
