I first read about this quilt-along on Wendy Sheppard's story on Instagram. She is @ivory_spring on IG and blogs at Ivory Spring. The pattern, Cross My Heart, is available in the February 2023 American Patchwork and Quilting magazine, and the QAL is sponsored by All People Quilt.
I decided on a dark background, so this pretty eggplant fabric from Joann's is the star of the show.
This quilt will be for my daughter-in-law who loves purples. She was recently diagnosed with a carcinoma in one of her breasts and is waiting for another biopsy for two more areas of concern. I would love to get this quilt to her before any surgery takes place, as a kind of prayer/comfort quilt.
Linda, that's going to be a beautiful quilt with the purples! I'm so sorry for the reason you want to make it, though. Sending up lots of good thoughts for your DIL. I'm sure she'll love this quilt!
