To Do Tuesday 2-21-23

Last week zoomed by for me! Time never used to fly by so fast when I was a working girl - lol! Let's see what, if anything, was accomplished last week.

Jack is examining my squirrel project  - destined to be either a baby quilt or a wheelchair quilt

Here is my list from last Tuesday:
✔1. Backing pieced and Cross My Heart sandwiched - Backing is pieced
❌2. Catch up on SAHRR - Not caught up, but I looked at it several times!
❌3. RBD challenge block - I have 2 blocks to do
❎4. Play! - I seem to do pretty well on this task! (See above photo)

One day was spent driving. We took our car in for some work, picked up our loaner, and bought groceries at our favorite grocery - H-E-B. Then we headed to Paris! Texas that is - lol! Paris is about 55 miles east of us, and we met a couple who purchased an item from my husband on Marketplace. Paris actually has a 65 foot scale model of the Eiffel Tower - with a cowboy hat on top - lol! You can read about it here. It was too late in the day to tour around, so we plan to go back sometime and check it out.

My playlist looks very similar for this week:
1. Get Cross My Heart sandwiched and loaded on Longmire
2. Catch up on SAHRR
3. RBD challenge block
4. Choose one of the squirrels clamoring for my attention

I'm joining Carol at Quilt Schmilt at her To Do Tuesday linkup. You can find out what is happening on other blogs by clicking right here!

  1. Such a cute picture of Jack and your quilt! I looked up patterns for wheelchair quilts for my Mama and wow! What a great idea! Thank you for sharing that idea! I’m so glad you played! 😊

  2. Jack is the sweetest quilt inspector that I have ever seen. Sounds like you had a very lovely outing. Paris looks like a delightful town. The Eiffel Tower sounds like a fun little site to see. I love roadside attractions like that. Have a wonderful week.

  3. Any accomplishments make me SMiLe...
Interesting having the Eiffel Tower so close to xox

  4. Hi Linda. Even if you didn't cross everything off your list, it looks like you had a fun week! Your squirrel project looks sweet. Love the fabrics in it. Wouldn't it be lovely if you had gone to Paris, France? I loved being there but your Paris looks like it might be a fun place to poke around! Thank you for linking with To Do Tuesday. Hope you are having lots of fun this week, with or without fabric. :)

  5. Your squirrel project looks gorgeous, Linda! Can't wait to see more of it. I have to admit that I started playing with a squirrel project yesterday, too! Paris, Texas, sounds like a fun little town! We enjoyed exploring Grapevine, TX, when we went for that car race in Ft. Worth a few years ago. That was fun, too!

  6. sounds like you had a good day - I like those drive around days of getting out and seeing things

  7. It's nice to see you have such a good quality control department there! Well, Jack? Does it pass inspection? Good luck on your to-do's!

  8. The trip to Paris sounds great and worthy of another visit. I really like the look of the squirrel quilt and look forward to seeing it finished.

  9. Our yellow cats... they just need to sit on it... every single project...

  10. I know what you mean about time flying by. I find it shocking, and a little disconcerting. I feel as though I’m hurdling toward the end.

  11. A day trip sounds like fun! We are snowbound at the moment, but it is warming up slowly come the weekend! I’m looking forward to seeing your “squirrel “ quilt too! Loving those colors. Purple and gray?

  12. Jack takes his quilt inspector job very seriously!

  13. Hi Linda, your colours in this quilt looks great, please show complete when ready. So nice your cat, brother of Wilbs? Oh, Paris… never heard that one is in Texas, I learn so much in this blogs. Paris (Europe) in spring .. remember my time as astudent. We habe been there at easter time four days with a group and had sooo mich fun. Paris in spring is nice as well I can recommend Malaga in Spain. Wonderfull places for spring time in Europe. This is Eva writing, you know me Wendys blog. Have a great day!

    1. Hi Eva, thank you for visiting my blog! Oh I would love to visit those places. I keep saying "someday" but now I don't want to fly!

  14. I love your squirrel project, and Jack is so darn cute! It will make a great baby or wheelchair quilt.

  15. I think I have lost February! We had a week of tree cutting and went right into having the new fence done. The tree cutting went well (too $$$) but the fence week was a BUMMER. But it is up and we are pleased. We used T-Post and existing wood poles and used very strong horse fencing. I will do a post soon.
Can you believe it was 90 degrees Wednesday and today it is North wind with 58 degrees - no sun since Tuesday! Bummer! Hugs

  16. What fun, a cowboy hat on the Eiffel! Hope you get your list accomplished this week!

  17. Jack, your handsome fella - glad you are keeping up on your quilt quality assurance duties! Sounds like a fun, busy week!
